Y. Bai et al., Studies on electrocatalytic oxidation of catechols and ascorbic acid on the polymeric heme film modified electrode, CHEM J CH U, 19(12), 1998, pp. 1943-1945
The polymeric heme film modified glassy carbon electrode (polyheme/GC) was
prepared by cyclic voltammetry, The electrochemical behavior of catechols (
catechol, dopamine, epinephrine) and ascorbic acid on the polyheme/GC elect
rode has been investigated, The polyheme/GC electrode has a good electrocat
alytic oxidation to catechols and ascorbic acid. On the polyheme/GC electro
de, the oxidation peak currents of catechols and ascorbic acid increase and
the oxidation peak potentials of catechols and ascorbic acid shift negativ
ely about 180 mV and 370 mv,respectively, comparing with that on the GC ele
ctrode, In the mixed solution containing catechols and ascorbic acid, the t
wo oxidation peaks could be separated about 130 mV on the polyheme/GC elect
rode.
