The aim of this paper is to analyse a proposed mathematical model of cylind
rical magnets without core and to present a methodology for it's adjustment
. The expressions deduced from Blot and Savart law and the model itself, al
lowing the computation of the magnetic field, the vector potential and the
magnetic energy, are given. Furthermore a methodology and an algorithm are
developed in order to simulate the magnets and coil heads. Some illustrativ
e and practical examples are presented. Finally, the validity of the model
has been checked out on two known simple configurations of magnets.
