Hj. Caulfield et al., One-, two-, and three-beam optical chaos and self-organization effects in photorefractive materials, MAT RES INN, 2(4), 1999, pp. 194-199
Collective self-organization effects and chaos are commonly observed in opt
ics. We describe examples in a particular kind of nonlinear optical materia
l: photorefractive crystals. In particular, we show different effects that
arise when photorefractive crystals are illuminated by one laser beam, two
laser beams, and three laser beams.
