Nanocrystalline pyrite nickel disulphide has been successfully prepared thr
ough solvent-thermal method with the reaction of anhydrous NiCl2 and Na2S3
at 150 degrees C. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis indicates that the produ
ct was pyrite nickel disulphide phase. Transmission electron microscopy (TE
M) shows that the average particle size is about 28 nm. (C) 1999 Elsevier S
