Abstract
The Ag(8) coordination networks, {[Ag(pyrazine)]NO2}(infinity) and {[Ag(4,4 '-bipy)]NO2}(infinity) have been constructed in order to investigate the ef fect of anion upon network topology; an unusual sawhorse connection is obse rved in the structure of {[Ag(pyrazine)]NO2}(infinity) with the nitrite ani on acting to 'block' cis coordination sites.
