Abstract
The SPring-8 storage ring is under the operation dedicated to synchrotron l ight users. The stability of the electron beam orbit during long term opera tion is one of the main goals to be achieved. Data on the beam orbit taken for this purpose show variations in time including a very clear signature o f an effect of the earth tide. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights re served.
