Abstract
The results of the parametric analysis of current extinction in counterpuls e systems without saturable reactor are presented in this paper. The curren t derivative di/dt has been assumed as a free parameter to investigate its effect on the design of the counterpulse capacitor bank and tuning inductor . General design criteria of the counterpulse systems are presented and com pared with the solutions employing saturable reactors.
