Va. Sandovskii et al., Solution of an inverse problem of eddy current location for components with a conducting coating, RUSS J NOND, 34(5), 1998, pp. 337-344
The authors present a structural scheme explaining the principle of eddy cu
rrent location. The exciting coil generates a pulsed field in a specimen, a
nd in this sense the method is identical to radiolocation but in contrast t
o radiolocation, the reflected pulse does not travel to the input of the me
asuring device. Instead, the level of the attenuating electromagnetic field
was measured some time after switching of the exciting field (after comple
tion of the pulse). However, the response reaction of the specimen takes pl
ace, like the time factor, in radiolocation. The problem was solved in a co
mputer, and computer graphs, illustrating the solution of one- and two-para
meter inverse problems are presented.
