The hyphomycete genus Heterosporiopsis Petrak

The type species of the anamorphic genus Heterosporiopsis Petrak, H. monili fera Petr., is illustrated and redescribed from its holotype and from the h olotype of its avowed teleomorph Dimerosporium moniliferum Pat. The avowed anamorph of Dimerium olivaceum El. Syd. & P. Syd. is now considered to be a Heterosporiopsis. The various dispositions of the congeneric teleomorphs a re reviewed; none is considered suitable, but no attempt is made to resolve this problem.
