Abstract
A new species of the hyphomycete genus Phialocephala was isolated from coni fericolous bark beetles and their galleries in Germany. The species differs from all known species of this genus by its conidia which have a triangula r shape. The development of the conidia was investigated with scanning and transmission electron microscopy.
