Yc. Chang et L. Demkowicz, A stability analysis for vibrating viscoelastic spherical shells (The effect of damping on the LBB constants of vibration problems), TAIWAN J M, 2(2), 1998, pp. 213-242
This paper is a continuation of [3-6] and it is devoted to a stability anal
ysis of multilayered vibrating viscoelastic spheres, both in vacuo and in a
n acoustical fluid. The analysis is done by investigating the effect of vis
coelastic damping on the (continuous) Ladyzenskaya-Babuska-Brezzi (LBB) con
stants for the related boundary-value problems. The sphere is modeled using
both 3-D viscoelasticity and the Kirchhoff-Love shell theory.
