The homogeneity range of the delta phase of the Cu-In system extends from 2
8.9 at.% In to 30.6 at.% In. It presents a crystallographic phase transitio
n Fly at the temperature of 905 K. The gamma phase thigh temperature) melts
congruently at a temperature of 955.5 K for a composition of 29.6 at.%. In
this work, the results of drop colorimetry measurements are presented for
the heat content between 298 K and 1273 K. From these experimental results,
the Delta(298)(T)H = f(T) functions are deduced for the three phases of co
mposition Cu0.7In0.3 as well as the heat capacities. The excess heat capaci
ty of the liquid is determined. Temperatures and enthalpies of the transiti
on delta/gamma and fusion of gamma/liquid are measured and compared with va
lues obtained by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC 121 Setaram).
