Abstract
The title compound, [Ni-2(NCS)(2)(C2H8N2)(4)](PF6)(2) Or [Ni(en)(2)(mu(N),( S)-NCS)](2)[PF6](2) (en = ethylenediamine), has been synthesized via a mole cular rearrangement reaction of trans-Ni(en)(2)(NCS)(2), It consists of dib ridged [Ni(en)2(mu(N,S)-NCS)](2) cations with the NCS ligands forming a cis arrangement at the nickel centres, A three-dimensional intermolecular hydr ogen-bonding network is observed between the amine protons of the en ligand s and the F atoms of the PF6- anions.
