Abstract
In the title compound [2-hydroxybenzaldehyde 2-pyridylcarbonylhydrazone hem ihydrate, C(13)H(11)N(3)O(2 .)0.5H(2)O or (1).0.5H(2)O], molecules of (1) a re linked pairwise through intermolecular N-H ... N hydrogen bonds. These p airs alternate with hydrogen-bonded water molecules to form one-dimensional chains.
