Abstract
Model developed for simulation of liquid water radiolysis by electrons has been adapted to light ions. The model is based on Monte Carlo sim ulation of particle tracks, the Debye-Smoluchowski theory of reactions between radicals, and a random flight method to simulate diffusion of species. The decay kinetics (10(-12)s-10(-5)s) of OH radical, hydrate d electron and molecular products H-2 and H2O2 are reported as a funct ion of ion energy (LET).
