P. Bouniol et P. Thouvenot, PHYSICOCHEMICAL ASPECTS OF CONCRETE BEHAV IOR UNDER IRRADIATION, Journal de chimie physique et de physico-chimie biologique, 94(2), 1997, pp. 410-417
The pore fluid of concretes is affected by radiolysis. Modelling this
behavior for medium and long term must take into account the system he
terogeneity, its complexity and its evolution capacity. From the basic
scheme of alkaline water radiolysis (pH 13,25), influence of gaseous
and liquid volumes, initial kinetics for H-2 production and O-2 consum
ption are discussed. in this context, the formation of a calcium perox
ide seems to take a prominent part.
