Jm. Mermet, IMPROVEMENT IN THE LIMITS OF DETECTION IN INDUCTIVELY-COUPLED PLASMA-ATOMIC EMISSION-SPECTROMETRY, Annali di chimica, 87(3-4), 1997, pp. 211-219
A significant improvement in the limits of detection obtained using co
mmercially available inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectr
omers has been recently achieved. This improvement can be explained by
a better efficiency of the sample introduction system, the use of a h
igh practical resolution of the dispersive system, better characterist
ics of the hf generator, and the use of the axial viewing mode of the
central channel. Actually, this is the combination of the various tech
nological changes which has led to an improvement of a factor of 20.
