(Sr0.76Bi0.16)TiO3 ceramics with the addition of PbTiO3 were synthesised. T
he effect of Pb on the dielectric properties of (Sr,Bi)TiO3 system was stud
ied. The permittivity peak was markedly shifted to high temperatures with t
he increase in PbTiO3 content and the dielectric relaxation behaviour was a
lso influenced by PbTiO3. The results show that (Sr(0.76)Bio(0.16))TiO3-PbT
iO3 ceramic is a promising matrix material, and can be used for making high
performance capacitors, with small amounts of other additives.
