ADVANCES IN SCANNING ELECTROCHEMICAL MICROSCOPY

The principles of scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) will be b riefly introduced, and recent advances using this technique will be di scussed. Recent studies from our group using SECM include the characte rization of thin films, using the SECM in combination with a quartz-cr ystal microbalance; the detection of single molecules; the determinati on of electron-transfer rates the interface between two immiscible ele ctrolyte solutions; and the measurement of the kinetics of ECE and DIS P1 reactions.
