Abstract
We report the observation of a surprisingly strong 'forbidden' backsca ttering by interface modes in layered PbI2 crystals with stacking faul ts. It has been shown that Raman scattering from interface phonons dep ends strongly on the sample quality. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.
