The angular distributions of the KVV Auger spectra of N-2 molecules in
duced by 1.5 and 2 MeV proton impact have been studied at 13 different
angles from 0 degrees to 180 degrees relative to the ion beam. Beside
s the transition energies, line widths (FWHM) and relative intensities
, the anisotropy parameters and the anisotropy coefficients of the Aug
er lines have also been determined. Strong indications have been found
that the K-shell ionization cross section in homonuclear molecules ma
y depend on the orientation of the molecular axis relative to the ion-
beam direction.
