Abstract
Depending on the reaction conditions used, (-)-phenylglycinol can be conden sed with formaldehyde to give either a bis(3-oxazolidinyl)methane or a 1,6- diaza-3,8-dioxabicyclo[4.4.1]undecane type adduct, and is the first aminoal cohol for which both structures are known.
