Abstract
A dual-energy X-ray bone densitometry study, in a 73-yr-old woman, detected gall stones in the right upper quadrant of the abdomen. These showed a rim of higher density. The density of the region was 0.550 g/cm(2), or 70% of the value found in the L1 vertebra.
