Hm. O'Flynn et al., Failure of the hinge mechanism of a trispherical total wrist arthroplasty:A case report and review of the literature, J HAND S-AM, 24A(1), 1999, pp. 156-160
We report a patient with rheumatoid arthritis who developed late catastroph
ic failure of the hinge mechanism of her trispherical total wrist arthropla
sty. This was associated with synovitis secondary to wear debris from Titan
ium, cement and polyethylene which produced exuberant flexor and extensor t
endon synovitis and median nerve compression. (I Hand Surg 1999;24A:156-160
