Abstract
The microstructure of BiPbSrCaCuO (2223) ceramic was studied by polarised l ight microscopy and the etch-pits technique. The high-angle twist grain bou ndaries in the platelet colonies were confirmed to be [001] coincidence typ e twisted boundaries or rotation twin boundaries with the (001) twinning pl ane.
