The knowledge of simultaneous metal ion interaction with proteins and
nucleic acids is one of the most exciting subjects inside the Inorgani
c Biochemistry. In the last years, several groups have published artic
les on the synthesis and characterization of ternary complexes bringin
g relevant data on the structure and stability of metallobiomolecules.
In this short review, the last contributions found in the literature
are collected. Comments on the factors influencing the behaviour and s
tability of these systems are offered.
