Abstract
The B1s and P2p soft x-ray emission of BP has been measured using monochrom atic synchrotron radiation as an excitation source. The band-gap, energy wa s estimated lu be about 2.1 eV which is in good agreement with other experi ments. The emission bands which reflect the partial density of states in th e valence band showed resonant aspects. The spectral profile was interprete d bq a momentum conservation approach.
