Immune system activation by "poly-plat", a cisplatin second generation analog, an in vitro and in vivo study

Poly-[(trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane) platinum]-carboxyamylose ("pholy-plat" ) is a second generation analog of cisplatin which enhances the immune syst em with greater efficacy in vitro and in vivo. "Poly-plat" contains 1/5 the platinum of cisplatin (CDDP) and demonstrates less toxicity. In order to u nderstand the mechanism of action of this compound an in vitro and in vivo study was performed measuring various cytolytic factors using peritoneal ma crophages.
