Abstract
During two-step Schwarz-Christoffel conformal mappings, when the original a nd the image polygons exhibit shape similarities error-masking phenomena ar e likely to occur if vertex crowding in the intermediate transformation pla ne causes similar accuracy losses both in the original and in the image pla ne length calculations. A square coaxial line cross-section geometry is use d to perform erample calculations, and error-masking effects are discussed in severe crowding conditions. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
