Abstract
The analysis and simulation of conformal microstrip antennas on arbitrary c urved surfaces are always a difficult task. The complexity of the electroma gnetic equations and the cost of real experiments plead in favor of new kin ds of simulations. This paper presents a fast and accurate symbolic algorit hm allowing the analysis and synthesis of spherical microstrip antennas. Co mparison with experiments and theoretical results of other authors are disc ussed. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
