Possible nonstandard effects in Z gamma events at LEP2

We point out that the so-called 'radiative return' events e(+)e(-) --> Z ga mma are suited to the study of nonstandard physics, particularly if the vec tor bosons are emitted into the central detector region. An effective verte x (amplitude) is constructed which contains the most general gauge invarian t e(+)e(-)Z gamma interaction. The interference pattern between this and th e Standard Model e(+)e(-)Z gamma amplitude is calculated. Phenomenolgocial consequences of the results are examined. Low Energy Constraints on the eff ective vertex are discussed as well. (C) 1999 Published by Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
