Abstract
The insect species found in present day Macao are largely those feeding upo n small numbers of remnant agricultural plantings or on those plants repres enting the subtropical evergreen broad leaf forest or remnants of the tropi cal monsoon rainforest as agricultural crops are only grown on a small scal e. Records of 37 species of Homoptera of the Aleyrodidae, Aphididae, Cicade llidae, Cicadidae, Coccidae, Delphacidae, Diaspididae, Flatidae, Fulgoridae , Margarodidae, Pseudococcidae and Psyllidae are listed for the Portuguese territory of Macao of which 27 are new records.
