Glenoid labral cyst is a rare cause of subacromial impingement syndrome wel
l visualized by magnetic resonance imaging. A tear in the posterior labrum
should be looked for routinely as it is a common concomitant abnormality, s
uggesting a possible causal link. Subtle glenohumeral instability should al
so be looked for. Follow-ups are too short to allow development of a consen
sus regarding surgical techniques.
