Abstract
A new subspecies of Leptotyphlops dulcis is described from six specimens fr om southwestern Tamaulipas, Mexico, distinguished on the basis of being the only taxon of the species usually lacking supraoculars. Relationships with L. humilis, usually distinguished from L. dulcis primarily by absence also of supraoculars, are discussed.
