Using the path integral method, we calculated all the distribution probabil
ity ratios for the spin projection of the electron in a hydrogen atom under
the disturbance of a strong periodic magnetic field, and studied the scree
ning effect of the coupling of spin (S) over cap with the periodic magnetic
field B(t) on the ratios of the spin distributions. It is found that the s
creening exists not only in the usual direction along the magnetic field (n
ot affected by initial conditions) but also other directions affected by th
e initial conditions. For the valence electron in the alkali metals, such a
s Li-3, Na-11, K-19, Ru-37, and Ce-55, etc., a similar conclusion can be dr
awn.
