Case report of a six year old Belgian Warmblood mare referred to the Facult
y following the detection of a voluminous abdominal mass. The clinical, ult
rasound (transrectal and transabdominal), endocrine, histopathologic (of a
transabdominal biopsy) and necropsic exams are described with their results
. The case report is followed by a review synthesising the granulosa cell t
umor associated symptoms described in the litterature, and the results of t
he array of complementary exams leading to diagnosis.
