A new class of (2,4-diamino-1,3,5-triazinyl)pyridine ligand has been m
ade and its cyclopalladation reaction with palladium(ii) studied; the
crystal structure of the C,N,N-cyclometallated complex reveals a rigid
planar structure with a donor-acceptor-donor hydrogen-bonding functio
n on its surface.
