Abstract
An 18-year-old man with a gastrointestinal hypomotility syndrome required l ifelong parenteral nutrition. Both the superior and inferior vena cava were occluded. Computed tomography guidance was used to place a long-term centr al venous catheter via a large tributary to the azygos vein.
