Abstract
The photodissociation of collinear HF ... Na van der Waals complexes is inv estigated by quantum mechanical wave packet propagation and by five semicla ssical trajectory methods. For this system, with strongly avoided crossing, none of the semiclassical theories is qualitatively correct for either hal f-lives or the branching ratios.
