This paper discusses stochastic E x B ion motion in the homogeneous magneti
c field and in the spatially periodical electrostatic potential. This appro
ach is used for the simulation of ion diffusion in potential fluctuations o
f boundary tokamak plasma. The presented results show that for sufficiently
large amplitudes of the potential, the intrinsic stochasticity regime of i
on motion appears, and this results in the spatial diffusion of particles.
Scaling of diffusion on potential amplitudes, magnetic field intensity and
ion mass are presented. Further possible applications are mentioned.
