This final article brings the themes and concepts together: What have we le
arned about the politics of doing research in education? Intersections of p
olitical processes and research include the politics of producing research
and its use later by policy makers with an explicit political focus, or ina
dvertent political influence, or with managed politics. Additional relevant
topics are identified that are marginally represented. Educational researc
hers are encouraged to broaden or enlarge their theories about the relation
ship between research and policy.
