Abstract
We report the MR imaging findings in a 41-year-old woman presenting with su dden low back pain and sciatica, At surgery a dilated epidural vein was fou nd compressing the nerve root. The MR findings may suggest the diagnosis. M agnetic resonance imaging of a dilated epidural vein or varix causing sciat ica has not been reported until now.
