A new scheme of regionalization is proposed for the Riphean of the west of
the Siberian Platform. Most attention is paid to the Middle-Angara intracra
tonal trough. It originated in the Mesoproterozoic, combined with the Yenis
ei pericratonal trough at the beginning of the Neoproterozoic, and complete
d its formation in the Vendian. The paper refines the correlation between t
he sections of the Baikit anteclise, Katanga saddle, and Chadobets elevatio
n. With a complex of methods, the sections of the internal platform regions
were compared with the All-Siberain stratigraphic scheme. The paleontologi
cal geological data permitted substantiating the time borders of the life o
f Kerpylian, Lachandinian, and Baikalian in these sections, which do not co
ntradict the data on the isotopic carbon composition. A microfossil complex
from the Dzhelindukon formation points to the Upper Riphean age of the Kam
ov series.
