The 15-item Organizational Commitment Questionnaire's discriminant val
idity vis-a-vis a measure of withdrawal cognitions was estimated using
LISREL. The data were provided by a sample of 176 air traffic control
lers. The results of the analyses indicated that, although the Organiz
ational Commitment Questionnaire's discriminant validity problems are
not considerable, some of its items should be eliminated. Examination
of the factor structure is encouraged.
