A procedure was developed for the accumulation of metals under "severe" con
ditions of stripping voltammetry at solid renewal indicator electrodes. The
effect of the parameters of severe accumulation (accumulation voltage V-ac
, current density, and hydrodynamic characteristics) on the deposition rate
of a number of metals is studied. It is shown that the use of high V-ac va
lues sharply increases the rate of deposition of electroactive metals by Tw
o to three orders of magnitude. It is also demonstrated that under severe c
onditions of accumulation at solid renewal electrodes, the analytical signa
l remains to be reproducible and depends linearly on the metal concentratio
n and its accumulation time.
