A Bi2U1-xZrxO6-x solid solution has been evidenced for 0 less than or equal
to x less than or equal to 0.40. The monoclinic Bi2UO6 room-temperature fo
rm extends in the range 0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.2
0 and the related trigonal high Bi2UO6 form is stabilised at room temperatu
re for higher substitution ratio. The electrical properties of these materi
als have been measured. Neutron diffraction combined with electron diffract
ion microscopy allow proposal of a structural model and confirmed the two d
imensional properties of these materials.
