Abstract
The crystal structure of [CuL2]. 2.5H(2)O . 0.5thf [L = 3-(4-pyridyl)p entane-2,4-dionate; thf = tetrahydrofuran] has been solved; a small in termolecular antiferromagnetic interaction between Cu sites implies th at L would be useful in synthesising heterobimetallic and polymeric sp ecies with interesting magnetic properties.
