The B-8(p,gamma)C-9, C-9(p,gamma)N-12 and N-13(p,gamma)O-14 capture cross s
ections are investigated in a microscopic cluster model, with a full p-shel
l description of the target nuclei. For the B-8(p,gamma)C-9 reaction and it
s mirror, the E1 and E2 components are analyzed. The present model confrrms
previous microscopic calculations for B-8(p,gamma)C-9 and N-13(p,gamma)O-1
4, but yields a significant reduction of the C-11(p,gamma)N-12 reaction rat
e. In each case, the sensitivity with respect to the nucleon-nucleon intera
ction is evaluated, and shown to be weak. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
