A short review on high-energy fragmentation reactions with halo nuclei is g
iven. Deviations from the general dependence of the matter and the charge r
adii on the atomic mass are interpreted as an evidence for a halo structure
. Furthermore, kinematically complete experiments yield structural informat
ion on halo nuclei. However, in some cases, the interplay of nuclear struct
ure and the reaction mechanism makes the analysis ambiguous. This is demons
trated by the example of "hump" structures in invariant mass spectra. Final
ly the momentum distributions can be used to determine general halo propert
ies, while interference effects in angular correlations allow to gain more
detailed information.
