I. Hartl et W. Zinth, A novel spectrometer system for the investigation of vibrational energy relaxation with sub-picosecond time resolution, OPT COMMUN, 160(1-3), 1999, pp. 184-190
An experimental system is presented which allows the observation of vibrati
onal energy relaxation with sub-picosecond time resolution. The system uses
mid-infrared pulses tunable between 4000 cm(-1) and 2500 cm(-1) to excite
vibrational modes and anti-Stokes Raman probing with sensitive multichannel
detection to record the vibrational excitation. A high temporal resolution
(width of the instrumental response function) better than 200 fs is realiz
